About Me

Born in Indonesia, I moved to Australia in 2007 to pursue a better life. Growing up, I struggled with how I looked and felt for many years. My self-esteem during childhood was very low. I used to believe that I was undesirable at one stage of my life. It wasn’t until my early twenties that I decided to improve my confidence by starting to do my own makeup. I liked the way I felt beautiful and confident with makeup on. I was thinking of doing makeup as a career. However, due to my background, there was a lot of pressure for me to go down particular career pathways. For the first few years I studied science and worked in fast food to pay for my university fees and living cost. Eventually, I chose nursing as a career and spent several years studying to become a nurse. I worked as a nurse for years and although I loved that role, it was not fulfilling my creative desires. Then, I built up the courage and decided to make a massive career change. I decided to study makeup at TAFE Gippsland in Traralgon. At first, I was worried if I had made the right choice. However, as time went on, I developed more confidence. I felt more fulfilled working with makeup and seeing the smiles on my clients’ faces! I felt that I made the right decision to change my career into a makeup artist. I love every second of my work and the best part of my work is to be able to help other people feel beautiful, confident and empowered.
